One Summer Chicago

One Summer Chicago is a city‐wide initiative in Chicago that brings together government institutions, community‐based organizations, and employers to offer subsidized employment and internship opportunities for youth and young adults during the summer months. 

Our Purpose

The purpose is to provide meaningful work experience, skill development, income, and enrichment to youth in Chicago over the summer, while connecting them with organizations, community employers and workforce readiness.

  • Resident of the City of Chicago. 
  • Between the ages 16 and 24.  
  • Social Security Number is required (including youth approved for DACA, who must have an SSN or an Authorization to Work permit).
